The project proposed by Assoc. Prof. M. Suha Yazıcı, called Electrolysis of H2S for Hydrogen Production (H2SEA) project, is supported by TUBITAK under the TUBITAK-Bulgaria Bilateral program.

The project, in cooperation with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, aims to convert hydrogen sulfide (H2S) that is also found in the depths of the Black Sea into hydrogen by electrochemical means.  Technoeconomic analysis for different production approaches will be carried out for economic and environmental impact.  Material synthesis, characterization and electrochemical system development/tests will be performed.
